ParentSkills2Go and Impact on Urban Health Mark Three Years of Transformative Partnership

Empowering Families and Strengthening Communities through Sustainable Investment and Strategic Growth.

ParentSkills2Go (PS2Go) proudly marks three years of transformational partnership with Impact on Urban Health (IoUH)—a collaboration that has reshaped the landscape of parenting support, community health, and grassroots leadership development across underserved communities in London.

This milestone celebrates not just longevity, but lasting impact: from expanding community-based parenting programmes to securing sustainable infrastructure and investing in inclusive leadership.

Strengthened by Partnership: A New Era of Growth for PS2Go

Thanks to the strategic and financial support from IoUH, ParentSkills2Go has achieved significant organisational milestones:

  • Secured a long-term lease for a permanent, accessible community hub—ensuring consistent service delivery in a welcoming space.
  • Scaled programme delivery of the flagship My Child & Me parenting course—reaching more families with culturally tailored, evidence-informed support.
  • Expanded its facilitator and operations team to improve service capacity and engagement.
  • Enhanced monitoring and evaluation (M&E) through partnerships with Business Under Development (BUD)—publishing data-driven impact reports aligned with funder and stakeholder requirements.

These investments have enabled PS2Go to build infrastructure, capacity, and credibility, making the organisation a trusted leader in the parenting support ecosystem.

Building Leadership Capacity through The Ubele Initiative

IoUH’s support extended beyond programme delivery by facilitating leadership development via The Ubele Initiative—a Black-led infrastructure organisation committed to building capacity in community-rooted projects.

As a result:

  • PS2Go has expanded its Board of Directors with diverse professionals bringing governance, policy, and community experience.
  • A dedicated Advisory Board was formed to provide strategic direction, sustainability insights, and stakeholder accountability.

This governance evolution aligns with PS2Go’s goal of becoming a resilient, long-term contributor to equitable family support services.

Strategic Priorities 2025–2028: A Vision for Scaled Impact

With the guidance of an external consultant, PS2Go has defined its strategic priorities for the next three years, aligned with its evolving mission:

1.  Sustainability and Succession Planning

  • Strengthening financial resilience
  • Developing leadership pipelines
  • Securing infrastructure for community use

2.  Programme Excellence and Youth Engagement

  • Scaling high-impact interventions like My Child & Me
  • Expanding support for young people, particularly those facing educational, emotional, or social barriers
  • Enhancing programme quality through culturally relevant content and lived-experience facilitation

3.  Policy and Systems Influence

  • Advocating for better support systems in healthcare, youth services, and education
  • Sharing insights from PS2Go’s community-led work with policymakers and funders
  • Shaping national conversations on parenting, equity, and intergenerational wellbeing

Leadership Reflections

"This partnership has been a game-changer for us,” said Margaret Taribo, CEO and Executive Director of ParentSkills2Go. “With IoUH’s support, we’ve been able to grow our vision, deepen our community impact, and build the foundations of long-term sustainability."

Continuing the Mission: Supporting Parents Across London

As PS2Go looks to the future, it remains firmly rooted in its mission: empowering parents, caregivers, and families in marginalised communities through culturally responsive, strength-based programming.

The organisation is committed to:

  • Reducing inequalities in parenting support
  • Improving child development outcomes
  • Creating a legacy of community-driven solutions

PS2Go is more than a programme—it is a movement towards equity, healing, and hope for families across London.
